Broiling a fish fillet

This is a super-basic technique you can use with basically any type of fish fillet. Since I am usually only cooking for 2 people, I most often use my toaster over to make this, but it's easy enough to use your oven's broiler.

Needed:

Aluminum foil
Fish fillets - no thicker than 1/2 inch. If you're cooking something thicker, you should probably bake the fish.
Olive oil
Cooking spray

Set your cooking appliance to broil.
Cover your broiling pan with aluminum foil. It's kinda like wrapping a present. You only need to cover the grate portion of the broiling pan, though, you can leave the drip pan alone
Spray the aluminum foil lightly with cooking spray.
Place the fish fillets on the broiling pan, spaced about 1/2 inch apart
Rub about 1/4 tsp of olive oil onto the surface of each fish fillet.
Slide the broiling pan in the broiler of your oven. Most fish fillets will be done in 5-7 minutes. Thinner pieces cook faster, as do pieces in the middle of the pan compared to those at the edge.
A done fish will flake easily with a fork
Remove with a spatula and transfer to the plate.
